Entrepreneurship at TELECOM Lille1
Creating an information and communication technologies company is one of the projects that any current student, graduate, researcher or innovative project developer from any background can aspire to, with the help of TELECOM Lille1.
Objectives
- Developing an entrepreneurial culture among students, doctoral candidates and instructor-researchers to encourage entrepreneurial actions
- Providing the fundamental knowledge essential to setting up a long-lasting project
- Assisting anyone with an innovative project in the area of information and communication technologies to help give an idea structure so that it can become a sustainable project
- Transferring the research results to innovative economic activity
- Making a contribution to regional economic development
- Giving projects a national or international dimension
Teaching
The actions introduced cover all the actions focused on entrepreneurship: awareness-raising, training, start-up assistance and finally the implementation of scientific cooperations necessary for innovation.
Depending on the scenario, these involve teaching actions that are part of the engineering curriculum or specific dedicated measures.
Individualised guidance
At TELECOM Lille1, all project initiators can get advice, support, scientific cooperation, and technical cooperation through internships and technological projects.
They set up their own businesses
Since the school's creation, nearly 20 successful and innovative companies have been created by its graduates

ANKAMA has developed Wakfu, a cross-media project featuring animated drawings/video games/card games and comic strips. |
Acipia is a computer services company created in 2004 by Pierre Laden (FI 04) and Sven Marquilly (FI 03). It provides businesses and administrations with a complete range of development assistance services for information systems which ranges from design to training. | |
