Research
TELECOM Lille1 has the double mission of developing high standard scientific research and providing cutting edge solutions responding to expectations of companies competing in the international market. Many links between research and teaching found principles of the teaching skills in our school; they broaden our students to the world of science and put them directly in touch with the latest technological advances. The fundamental and applied research done by the academic staff of TELECOM Lille1 takes part in the advances of the knowledge society and in the development of the economy of innovation. The research in the area of Information and Communication Sciences and Technology is based on five lines:
| ![]() |
Each line groups together one or more fields which are most often included in one of the four CNRS laboratories at the “Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille (USTL)”:
- The “Institut d’Electronique de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologies”
- The “Laboratoire d’Informatique Fondamental de Lille”
- The “Laboratoire de Physique des Laser, Atomes et Molécules”
- The “Centre Lillois d’Etudes et de Recherches Sociologiques et Economiques”
![]() | Also supported by the Institut TELECOM, the research is coordinated by a “Dean of research” and a “research council” made up of all department managers.and the director of the establishment. Two years in a meeting brings together the directors of the Institut TELECOM, the Presidency of the Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille and the directors of the CNRS laboratories on the Lille campus. |
